Well, something is wrong with the guestbook so I pulled it down. But everything else seems to be working just fine. I've added a videos section where I've put up some of my favorite videos of Hieu.

I'm still working on my friend's website. Just a few more tweaks and we'll be ready to go live. It's fun to be working on websites again. Joomla makes it pretty damn easy to put together a nice looking site. It is a little cumbersome here and there but for the most part it's very user friendly.

After a few bumps in the road, I've uploaded the new site. I have to say that the Westhost tech support was really helpful in figuring out some permission issues I had with SQL. If you have any suggestions about what you'd like to see here, feel free to use my brand spanking new guestbook to leave a comment.

A while back my site got hosed when my ISP had a fire in their data storage facility. Not to name any names (*cough* Westhost *cough*), but somehow they lost all the backups of my site as well. Of course, silly me didn't have a complete backup anywhere and well, honestly, it wasn't like I was getting tons of hits anyways so I just threw something up and resumed my life.

The other day I started helping a buddy out with setting up a website and I stumbled across Joomla. One thing led to another and suddenly I have a localhost and am playing with MySQL. So what better way to learn than build my site? It's been fun. It's like when I first picked up an HTML book and started working on my first website. So far I've locked myself out of MySQL and had to unistall and reinstall Xammp but I'm definitely getting the hang of it. I'm going to start with a basic site and then add as I go along. So check back once in a while and see that changes have occurred. Of course, once my buddy's site is up I'll probably stop working on mine as well. But we'll see how long we can keep at it.
